Health Care Project- Ibn Sina Hospital in Darbhanga

‘Quality Healthcare affordability is the need of the hour’

Today prevention is the most understated and under-resourced section of healthcare. Spending on ensuring healthy behavior, information, education and communication about health is simply an extended arm of vertical healthcare programmes.

We are planning to offer unique combination of health care and community-based social services to Darbhanga. Market research indicates that there is a significant viability for quality health care and social services within this region and we believe that by competent and well-educated staff and providing them with organized and responsive management, we can become the health care/social service agency of choice in Darbhanga.

We will strive to offer excellent and affordable health care and community-based social services to individuals and families of members and people within Darbhanga and outside. It is our goal to employ competent, caring, and well-trained individuals who are responsive to the needs of our patients, their families, and the communities we serve. Each staff member will meet the Health Services educational and training requirements for the services they provide. We encourage and support continued education of each service provider. In turn, our agency will provide staff with competitive compensation, an inviting work environment, and knowledgeable, trustworthy management and direction.

We, a group of professionals and intellectuals, are trying to establish a hospital to offer the quality & affordable healthcare services by pooling the resources.  The initial budget to establish the hospital is 201,250,000 rupees, please refer tables in below sections for further details.

Initially our plan was to setup a Paramedical Institute in Darbhanga under the umbrella of DPMI India and later on flourish in other cities of Jharkhand and West Bengal. We started initially with the help and support of 3 other partners however on a larger scale we had the vision with our fellow peers to setup a Diagnostic Center. Based on rigorous findings and information with fruitful suggestion and inputs from close ally we concluded that the need to the hour is a well-established HealthCare Project in our city of Darbhanga.

For the majority of people, healthcare services, even if available, are often out of the reach of many of the people. A HealthCare Project would be able to help address this, by providing affordable healthcare services to all sections of society.

Our Project is formed not just by who is in the group, but also who isn’t.

This doesn’t mean you should immediately bar the door; there’s a balance to consider. We want to be welcoming towards all, but embrace only the few. Our Project probably may not appeal to everyone, but it should cater to a niche group.

Health care is the basic need and right of every citizen of our country. Hospitals, nursing homes, clinics, medical camps etc. form the platform for this healthcare delivery. Unfortunately, India has a huge and growing population, but a poor number of hospitals.

It’s a fact of life: people checking into the hospital face risks. Expecting to get better, some end up getting worse. All hospital risks can seem far beyond your control. It can leave you helpless at times.

Need of the Hour & Strategic goals are the foundation for planning a Health Care Project.

Engage the community

Messaging should emphasize the public’s role as important as stakeholders in the enterprise. This helps set a positive tone that’s both respectful and welcoming to the local community.

Leverage volunteer services

Drawing on the resources of clinical, staff and community volunteers enables planners to gain a unique perspective on internal culture.

With Support and Guidance of Group Members we can achieve Greater Heights and milestone.

Strength does not come from physical capacity, it comes from an indomitable will.

The will to win, the desire to succeed, the urge to reach your full potential: these are the keys that will unlock the door to excellence.

Coming together is a beginning; keeping together is progress; working together is success

The vision of this Health Care Project is to provide a comprehensive health programme with focus at reaching target groups, by improving the access to basic and extensive health services.

The focus of this program is to improve access to and affordability for medical and health care services for people in our Darbhanga region and to serve our community and other marginalized people, women and in people particularly affected by conflict and all types of discrimination.

Problem Statement

  • There is a general absence of healthcare facilities in the area. Most hospitals and doctors are located in the more populated cities outside Darbhanga.
  • Access to affordable health care services far exceeds the income of the majority of the population.
  • Maternal health and infant mortality rate are major problems.

Access to emergency caesarian operations is limited outside of Darbhanga and other major cities, and often financially beyond the reach of the majority of people.
